♫♪  HKE / wosX / COCAINEJESUS / Sandtimer - Pain of Gods

Four-way releases are intriguing in terms of hearing the collective works as whole. Listening to Pain of Gods — the newest drop on VOID 21 — one is privy to fully fleshed-out jams (an improvement from Omnia, when all I wanted was about five more minutes to each track) by infamous producer HKE that blur an introduction as well as set the stage for wosX in a vast, post-club after party environment. This is exactly where wosX lingers the perfect End Of World Rave desertion vibe that’s as plush leather as vodka infused milk, sipping the goon-slow, half cocked gaze that spirals irises into oblivion. When COCAINEJESUS steps up, there’s a lighter temperament similar to the musician’s online-temperament: happily saddened, wallowing in the rain-cloud of this wonderfully grey day that needn’t a ray of sunshine to ruin it, beckoning a necessity that energy is building, and will eventually be put to use, so these three tracks found their way out. Personally, I haven’t heard much from Sandtimer, so my expectation of these being the last three tracks sorta had built upon my consciousness throughout and they ABSORB. Sandtimer kicks around the production notes like a harmony meant to have always weaved within melody that blares in subdued delight, completing Pain of Gods on a climax that begs listeners to repeat.

Pain of Gods is “name your price” available on VOID 21 and itching to crackle your speakers/headphones.
